Ocean Waves

Ocean Waves
After several days at the beach, I'm finally feeling some kind of release.

As I took my walk down the shore, these thought flooded my heart.

OCEAN WAVES

See the children in the sun.
Playing games, having fun
I walk by and look into their eyes,
They smile, yes, they smile.

See the children on the sand.
Making castles, making plans.
As the sun sets the stars light the sky
But they cry, oh, they cry.

For the ocean waves
Are washing away
The innocence of their days.

And the ocean waves,
Are washing away
Their hopes and dreams as we pray.

Take the children to the sand.
Give them hope and hold their hands.
Give them life in the light.
And they’ll smile, oh, they’ll smile.

Take the children to the shore
Let them ride the ocean’s roar.
Let them feel the wind blow free.
So they’re free to believe, to believe.

For the ocean waves
Are washing away
The innocence of their days.
And the ocean waves,
Are washing away
Their hopes and dreams as we pray.

Nothing New, Nothing Old

This weekend I had the rewarding opportunity to listen to the prophets of our church. I love hearing their personal testimonies of Jesus Christ. Their stories make me feel like I am 'normal' and that I can do better in my commitment to live the gospel. I especially love their words of encouragement during these times of insecurity and trouble. I felt that my testimony was affirmed in their words and for that, I am grateful. There was no need for alarm or voice of warning. Though there was nothing new in their messages, there was also nothing old or redundant spoken. The feelings of power and faith that came to me were new and exactly what my soul needed on this day in this time. It is a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel that it can solve our problems in all times of need. This I know is true.
