bottled up like grandmas cherries
soon
 sour
then burst bubbles of
nasty
 vinegary
 red
rotten
juice
staining
 the white linen Thanksgiving tablecloth
bleached
clean
then pressed
and dressed
with fine china and crystal
vases of daisies
silver and
baskets of rolls
surrounded by
family
friends
and forgiven
