Summertime- Professional Development-Great Weather-Music Making

I'm going to begin my Kodaly I training at BYU this summer. It's a two week course that will enrich my teaching skills with game songs, movement activities and singing tips. I'm excited to be in the Choir that will perform on June 14. I'm staying in Heritage Halls and feel like a freshman again...hope I don't act like one too! I hope to gain some insights and inspiration for some more children's music. Lastly, I'm looking forward to some "me" time with some fellow music teachers and the beautiful Utah summer weather. "The Weather's Changed" April 19

The weathers changed

with sad regret

From springing breeze

To sweaty sweat.

From head to toe

I can’t forget

I’m never dry

but wetty wet.

I’ll pack my sweaters

and jetty jet

to colder realms 

with no fretty frets

And treasure days

with petty pets

and breakfast in

my beddy bed.

Don’t be jealous

or upset yet,

I’ll be dead

‘nigh this dream

I getty get.

Although it's a day late, I felt like it was worth posting.  Just a little commenting on the rising temperatures in the valley.
